UAS Unmanned Aerial System Seminar / 3 CEU’s for TDA Pesticide Applicators

October 7, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$20.00

I was approached by Mr. Danny May, farmer – Calhoun County to invite Dr. Juan Landivar with Texas A and M AgriLife RESEARCH to give a presentation on the status of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) in crop research and applied applications.  Some of the first research that was performed by Dr. Landivar using UAS was in Calhoun County.   With many farmers in the county being involved in cattle production , I decided to include range and pasture applications as a topic.  The first person that comes to mind is Dr. Megan Clayton, Associate Professor and Extension Range Specialist when it comes to range and pasture.  While I was still employed with the Texas Department of Agriculture, I met Dr. Dan Martin, Research Engineer USDA at a State Wide Pesticide Training who actually performed an Unmanned Aerial System spray demonstration.  I believe with Dr. Landivar, Dr. Clayton and Dr. Martin agreeing to speak at the program it should be a well rounded program on the applications of UAS in agriculture.   Below is the link to the flyer.
